3-Week Teenage Dog Class in Alexandria $199!

- The class runs for 4 consecutive weeks, at the same time/location/day of the week.
3-week express teen dog class in Alexandria for dogs aged 4-24 months.
Suitable for all breeds of dogs, no matter the age or skill level.
- 4 weeks of training with an experienced & professional dog trainer.
- Great dog training class for everyone struggling with a teenage dog who could use some daily manners training.
This class is not suitable for separation anxiety training, or for dogs with severe anxieties, reactivity or aggression issues.
What’s the difference between our 4-week Teen Dog Class and the 3-week Express Teen Dog Class?
- The Express Teen Dog Class follows the same program, but you join from week 2 and attend the remaining three weeks of classes.
- Because you skip the first in-person session, the course is more affordable.
- This option is ideal for teen dogs who already have a good foundation in basic skills, or for owners who feel confident with the basics and are mainly looking for guided socialisation, real-life exposure, and support through the adolescent stage rather than starting from scratch.
- It’s a great choice if you want the structure and benefits of the Teen Dog Class, without committing to the full four weeks.
The Classes Include:
1st Lesson: Education on common issues and daily manners
- Mat training
- Education on: Toilet training, biting and chewing, mental stimulation and exercise (use treat toys at the same time)
- Greeting a person: calm greeting skills
- Boundaries with food/treats/toys
- Building value to the owner: treat hunt
2nd Lesson: Leash manners
- Ignoring distractions: mat training
- Leash manners: basics for loose leash walking
- Building a neutral association with other dogs: sitting calmly close to another dog
- Greeting a person: ignoring excitement/distractions
- Meeting other dogs: 2 second rule
3rd Lesson: Calm greeting skills
- Leash manners: passing other dogs calmly
- Building value to the owner: recall away from another dog
- Greeting other dogs: 2 second meeting when passing
- Greeting a person: walking up to a person
