I run dog agility classes in Sydney Park on Saturday mornings. Very often beginner dogs don’t have a clue of how to follow their owners through an agility course. But no worries, handling skills can be trained and they should be!

Dog Handling in Agility

When we talk about handling in agility, it simply means guiding a dog through the obstacle course. And if you’ve ever tried it, it can be harder than it looks. A smooth run takes some obedience skills, like ignoring other things around, focus and independence since a dog can’t stay right next to you the whole time.
