We have now completed the teenage course and scent work with Anniina, she is absolutely fantastic! Her courses are very informative and she makes the whole session fun for the dogs and for you. Our Rottie and Jug have loved the classes and have learnt so much- I Highly recommend Eazy Dog Training!
My daughter and I loved the puppy training class. Amina taught us so much about what to expect nd how to manage our puppy in different situations. She was responsive to questions, and our puppy had a great time
Anniina was fantastic in helping us with our puppy, the classes were very informative and fun. We saw a lot of progress with our training and will definitely return.
We have done the Teenage dog class and loved Anniina’s demeanour so much we are going back for her obedience course. Anniina just has a way with dogs, and teaches in ways that are so easy to understand. She is professional and personable and you can tell she really loves (and is so good at) what she does. We will use Eazy dog training for all of our dog training needs!
Eazy Training classes for re-active dogs has been amazing for our 9 month miniature schnauzer puppy. We have learnt so much and made great progress, we were beginning to think it would never be possible. Most importantly we feel more confident and relaxed on walks. We will keep it up, thank you Anniina!

What Should You Book: Private Dog Training or a Group Class?

A simple way to think about it is the difference between doing a Zumba class vs. training with a personal trainer.

Group Dog Obedience Training Classes are like a Zumba class. Everyone works on similar skills together, following the same lesson plan. They’re a great option for social learning, general obedience, and practising around distractions in a structured environment.

Private Dog Training is like working with a personal trainer. The session is tailored specifically to you and your dog, focusing on your individual goals, challenges, home environment, and lifestyle. This is often the best choice for behaviour concerns or any home-based behaviours, or when you want faster progress on specific training goals.

Both options can be highly effective —the best choice depends on your dog’s needs and your training goals.

And there’s a difference in price! Group classes are more affordable than private training in general, ours start from $225 for a 4-week class!

Commonly asked questions:

Puppies (up to 16 weeks):
Puppy school is recommended, or private in-home training up to 5 months.

Teen & young adult dogs (5 months–2 years):
Teen dog classes help with foundations and common adolescent behaviours.

Basic obedience (16 weeks+):
Group classes cover sit, down, stay, recall, loose leash walking, calm greetings, and impulse control.

When private training is needed

If your dog struggles with anxiety, over-arousal, fixation, or reactivity around dogs or people, group classes aren’t suitable. Signs include reacting or escalating even when using high-value treats. Private training builds skills safely under controlled conditions.

Private sessions are also recommended for reactivity, aggression, fear, separation anxiety, resource guarding, fence reactivity, or any home-based behaviours. They allow training to be tailored to your dog’s needs and environment.

It depens on your training needs!

Here’s some common guidelines:

  • Puppies up to 16 weeks of age: Puppy school
  • Older puppies and teen dogs from 16 weeks of age up to 2 years: teen dog class
  • Want solid basic obedience skills such as sit, down, stay, come, leave it, place training, heel, polite greeting manners such as not jumping on people etc.: Obedience class
  • Have already done obedience training? Advanced obedience class
  • Recall issues: Recall training seminar
  • Struggle with pulling and lunging on a leash: Stop pulling leash seminar. Note! Not Suitable for reactive dogs!

If unsure, you can find all the details including the class plans for what’s covered in the classes in our online training calendar above. Simply click on the class you are interested in and check the details.

Yes, you can do a catch up lesson with one of our other available classes!

Unfortunately group classes aren’t suitable for reactive dogs who can’t cope in a class environment near their triggers. Reactivity issues aren’t addressed in our group classes, they always require tailored, private behavioural training. Check out our reactivity training instead!

Obedience training for dogs focuses on teaching them basic commands and improving their overall behavior, ensuring they are well-mannered and responsive to their owner’s instructions. The primary goal is to create a well-behaved dog that listens to commands and exhibits proper behavior in various situations.

Any time after they have been fully vaccinated from 16 weeks of age onwards!

In a nutshell, puppy schools are for young puppies and include basic training and puppy specifics while our teen dog classes are a step up from that including more advanced impulse control, engagement and calm walking and greeting exercises for dogs aged 16 weeks to 2 years. Obedience classes focus on the obedience basics: sit, down, stay, come, ‘drop’, ‘leave it’, heel, walking and greeting manners while being adjusted to every dog’s skill level. They are suitable for all dogs from 16 weeks of age onwards.

You can check the class schedules for all of our dog training classes and choose what seems most suitable for your training needs!

Behavioral training for dogs focuses on modifying and improving specific behaviors, whether they are unwanted habits or actions that need improvement. This type of training addresses a variety of behavioral issues that dogs might exhibit, such as aggression, separation anxiety, excessive barking, jumping, reactivity, anxiety, fear, arousal issues or destructive chewing, digging etc.

The goal of behavioural training is to teach dogs more appropriate, acceptable behaviours and to help them respond positively to different situations. It’s based on understanding and managing the dog’s environment, triggers, and motivations to reinforce good behaviors while discouraging undesirable ones.

Our dog training methods are based on rewarding the desired behaviour and motivating your dog to repeat the desired behaviours.

And rewards aren’t always food! You can use anything your dog likes, a favourite toy, favourite food or even a game. However, rewards will be faded out eventually. But at the beginning it’s important to use them!

Also a motivated, mentally stimulated dog is a happier dog. Dog training should never be frustrating or a chore! It should always be fun for both you and your dog.
