4-Week Dog Obedience Class for Teenage Dogs only $249
60 minute weekly lessons
- 4 weeks of training with an experienced & professional dog trainer.
- Great dog training class for everyone struggling with a teenage dog who could use some daily manners training, improve impulse control and reinforce neutral associations with other dogs and people instead of excitement.
- This class is not suitable for separation anxiety training, or for dogs with severe anxieties, reactivity or aggression issues.
Obedience Class for Teenage Dogs Aged 4-24 Months of Age.
Suitable for All Breeds of Dogs, No Matter the Age or Skill Level.
- Classes are limited to 2 people per dog.
- Max 10 dogs per class, depending on location
- The class runs for 4 consecutive weeks, at the same time/location/day of the week.

1st lesson: Basic Manners
- Engagement exercise: look

- Greeting people: building a neutral association with a person
- Building value to the owner: reward engagement/name calling
2nd lesson: Education on common issues and daily manners
- Mat training
- Education on: Toilet training, biting and chewing, mental stimulation and exercise (use treat toys at the same time)
- Greeting a person: calm greeting skills
- Boundaries with food/treats/toys
- Building value to the owner: treat hunt
3rd lesson: Leash manners
- Ignoring distractions: mat training
- Leash manners: basics for loose leash walking
- Building a neutral association with other dogs: sitting calmly close to another dog
- Greeting a person: ignoring excitement/distractions
- Meeting other dogs: 2 second rule
4th lesson: Calm greeting skills
- Leash manners: passing other dogs calmly
- Building value to the owner: recall away from another dog
- Greeting other dogs: 2 second meeting when passing
- Greeting a person: walking up to a person
