Positive Dog Training in Sydney
We use a positive dog training method called ‘positive reinforcement’.
This means using rewards such as treats, cuddles, toys, attention, play etc. to motivate dogs to obey. But it doesn’t mean bribing your dog with treats. Every treat is used as a reward for correct behaviours. We’ll teach you how to create a working mental state so that your dog works for you to get the reward, not the other way around!
Positive dog training can be firm and gentle at the same time, it doesn’t mean creating a dog who only obeys if treats are around. When this happens, treats have been used as bribes not as rewards! I’ve always used positive training with my own dogs and I rarely use treats with them after I have first used them for the foundation. When dog training is done right, you’ll have a dog who obeys you because they want to – not just because they get rewarded for it!

Our initial 90-minute home visit is $299. We also offer packages: 3 sessions for $575 or 4 sessions for $725. Most clients with straightforward behaviour issues only need a single session — we'll give you an honest assessment upfront so you're not paying for sessions you don't need.
Do you come to my home in the Inner West?

How many sessions will my dog need?
For most common behaviour issues — jumping, pulling on the lead, recall, basic manners — one session is often enough. For more complex challenges like anxiety, reactivity, or aggression, a package of 3–4 sessions gives us the time to work through things properly and set you up for long-term success. We'll always give you an honest recommendation at the end of your first lesson.
