Prefer Group Dog Training? Join Our Group Dog Training Classes in Sydney!
Eazy Dog Training runs group dog training classes across Sydney — Marrickville, Camperdown, Alexandria, Mascot, St Peters, Zetland and more. And unlike typical community clubs, every dog in our classes is treated as an individual, with training modified to suit their skill level. We focus on understanding canine behaviour and building a strong bond through positive training. An obedient dog is a dog who wants to obey — and we get there by developing focus, engagement and impulse control in a fun, rewarding way.
Dog training takes time and consistency, but it’s worth it. And in our dog training classes in Sydney, you’ll enjoy the journey — because one of the most satisfying things in life is sharing it with a well-trained dog who loves learning with you.

Frequently Asked Questions
What service should I choose for my dog?
Choosing the Right Training for Your Dog
Puppies (up to 16 weeks):
Puppy school is highly recommended. Alternatively, private in-home puppy training is available for puppies up to 5 months old.
Teen & young adult dogs (16+ weeks – 2 years of age):
If your puppy is older or you want to address basic training or typical adolescent behaviours, our teen dog classes are a great option.
Basic obedience for all dogs (16 weeks+):
For basic obedience skills like sit, down, stay, come, leave it, heel, loose-leash walking, not jumping up and calm greetings with other dogs, our group obedience classes are a great option! Advanced obedience classes are suitable for dogs with good basic skills already.
Need help with only recall or leash manners?
Our Recall seminar teaches you and your dog the skills for solid recall and our ‘stop pulling’ leash seminar is for learning loose leash walking.
When Is Private Training Needed?
Whenever you are looking for help with any home-based behaviours, behavioural issues or require tailored training instead of general obedience training.
In a nutshell, group training classes are for general obedience training and not tailored to your individual needs. Private home training covers more than just obedience training, including behavioural training for anxiety, fear, reactivity, arousal and aggression, and is fully tailored to your needs. It’s like the difference between a Zumba class and a lesson with a personal trainer!
Some dogs also struggle in group class settings around other dogs or people. Group classes are not suitable for reactive, highly anxious or aroused dogs who can’t cope in an indoors space with other dogs and people near. Private training provides controlled environments, individual support, and a step-by-step approach to build coping skills safely before attempting a group class.

My dog barks at other dogs or people, what service should I book?
Our 8-week reactivity training program is the best option for dogs dealing with reactivity issues. It is what we highly recommend for this. You can also book as for private training at your own home.
Can I book my reactive dog for obedience classes?
Unfortunately not, we do not address reactivity or aggression issues in our group obedience classes and they are not suitable for dogs who can not cope near other dogs and people. The classes would simply be too much and since reactivity is not an obedience issue teaching your dog basic obedience would not help either. Private training is needed for this or our reactivity training would be perfect!
My puppy isn’t fully vaccinated, can I join puppy school?
Yes, puppy schools are held in private, clean and safe locations, not out in public. You can join as early as at 8 weeks, after the first vaccination. We have never had any safety or health issues in our classes, and we have done this for a long time!
What is the best time to join puppy school? AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE!
The most important socialisation period is 8-12 weeks of age and the whole socialisation period for dogs lasts only for the first 16 weeks. Missing this crucial development phase can cause permanent behavioural issues. So it’s best to attend puppy school as early as possible within the age of 8 to 16 weeks.
How do I book a class?
You can book our popular group classes online on our ‘Book Now – Group Classes’ page, you will find all the details there and availability is live at all times.

I would like to book for a class, is there still availability?
You can book classes online on our ‘Booking Now – Group Classes’ page, you will find all the details there and availability is live at all times, if the class hasn’t sold out you can still book it. If it is sold out, the booking system will let you know the class is no longer available and advices you to choose another date or class.
What if I can not make it to all the lesson? Can I do a catch up?
Yes, we can offer a catch up lesson if you miss a class at any of our other available classes as long as there’s room in another class. We might also have online courses to help you catch up at home, depending on your class!
Can I choose lessons at different locations?
Unfortunately no, you will have to choose one class and stick with that for the length of the course. Due to the limited availability in our classes it is not possible to mix different locations for your lessons since every booking will take a spot in that particular class.
How much are the classes and where are they?
We have multiple classes at different locations. All the details for all our classes will be found on our online booking calendar, simply click on the class you are interested in to check all the details.
General pricing details and pricing for private training can be found here.
Is the price per lesson or the whole course?
All our pricing is for the full service, not hourly charged. Classes are priced per the whole length of the course including all the weekly lessons.
I’m trying to book a class but it’s sold out, can I still book it?
Unfortunately not, sold out classes are no longer available for booking because there is no room in the class (we literally can not fit you in the space while maintaining high quality training for everyone in the class), please choose another class or date.
What if I can no longer attend the classes, can I receive a refund for the remaining lessons ?
We do not provide refunds for any classes that have started already, as we do not sell individual lessons; the fee is always for the whole course, and we have a 72h cancellation policy for all our services, which refers to the start date of the service.
I'm not sure if a group class would be suitable for my dog, can I have a trial lesson?
Unfortunately we can’t offer any trial lessons due to the limited availability in our classes.
However, the rule of thumb is that if your dog shows reactivity towards other dogs or people or if you generally can’t visit cafes or have to avoid dog parks with your dog, a group class environment wouldn’t be suitable. Private training would be the way to get started!
