Dog Obedience Class in Sydney

My Beginners Dog Obedience Class in Inner West Sydney is for anyone who wants to improve obedience skills and challenge themselves and their dog. In this class your dog will learn to master daily obedience skills.

It will be a lot of fun for both you and your dog and will ensure better control of your dog’s behaviour anywhere you go. And above all, good dog manners make the relationship between a dog and owner a lot easier. Most importantly, teaching your dog at least some basic obedience is a vital part of being a responsible dog owner.

In my 4 week dog obedience training course we focus on all the important manners and obedience skills that make a dog a pleasure to be around. You will learn great impulse control and focus exercises to calm down your dog in exciting situations. We practise those skills with other dogs and people – after all, dogs also need practise to master any new skills!

Positive reinforcement

There are many kinds of dog-training methods available for training your dog. However, the Australian Veterinary Association recommends positive reinforcement as the best method. Positive reinforcement rewards wanted behaviour rather than punishing unwanted behaviour. Therefore learning becomes more enjoyable for your dog, and it will help to strengthen the bond you have together.
