Puppy Instructor Class Participants Are Provided with Methods, Knowledge & Skills to:
- Provide professional advice and training scenarios to puppy owners for positive socialisation and environmental conditioning. This includes knowledge of a puppy’s sensitive, crucial development phases, fear periods and training techniques used for socialisation training.
- Teach strategies for the development of puppies’ independence to prevent the development of over-attachment, over-excitement and anxieties.
- Implement strategies for the prevention of behavioural issues such as destructive behaviours, obsessive behaviours, barking, reactivity towards other dogs and people etc.
- Introduce science-based, dog training methods. This includes learning of different dog training techniques and how to implement them in your puppy class.
- Provide management advice and training scenarios for common puppy problems such as toilet training, nipping and biting, appropriate play and interactions with children.
- Understand puppy development and all relevant stages. This includes understanding of canine body language and communication, genetics and breeding and it’s affect on dogs, dog breeds and traits.
- Offer advice on puppy health.
- Provide safe and controlled playtime sessions.
- Teach basic obedience skills to puppies include, sit, down, stay, recall, loose lead walking, leave it, touch, roll over, high five etc.
- Create a balanced puppy school curriculum to include all aspects of socialisation, puppy training, information and much, much more. This includes practical training in Sydney, running a 4 week puppy class with real clients and their pups with me supervising the training.
